MoneyBook ★★★☆☆ ($2.99 / App Store) for the iPhone is a personal finance app with a minimalistic touch. MoneyBook is great for keeping track of and managing your finances without complex features - that is if you don’t need it. There are many other finance apps with lots of features while this lacks many of those but that elegant simplicity is what makes this app great for those that don’t need all those extras. Works great, easy to use and has a top notch user interface and overall design.
Flight Card ★★★★☆ ($4.99 / App Store) for the iPhone is a gorgeous flight tracking app and boarding pass accessory. Flight Card will update the vital details of your flight in an exceedingly simple yet beautiful and highly effective manner to make your travels that much easier. The app tracks over 90,000 flights daily on 1,500 airlines with 16,000 airports - so it should cover just about any flight you need to take. Because of the premium price tag, Flight Card may be best for frequent riders but it still is a great travel app.
iCam ★★★★☆ ($4.99 / App Store) for the iPhone is an easy to use webcam streaming app. The applications are numerous for iCam such as; security camera, nanny cam, baby cam, pet cam, spy cam or anything else you can think of. As long as a PC or Mac has a web cam (upto 4 at a time) and is connected to the internet, your iPhone can view those cams in real time. There is even sound as well as push notifications of any movement from those cams.
Photo Academy ★★★☆☆ ($2.99 / App Store) for the iPhone is a comprehensive photography guide and instructional app for beginners and experts alike. Kind of like an interactive encyclopedia on all things photography but fun to use and learn from. Although Photo Academy appears to cover just about everything in basic to advanced photography, it feels like much more could have been added. But it still is a great app for both the learning and experienced photographer alike.
Ultra LED Flashlight ★★★★★ ($.99 / App Store) for the iPhone is a very stylish and effective flashlight. Using the power of the iPhone 4+’s LED light, Ultra utilizes this feature with a simple but greatly designed app. There are two buttons, one for the LED light and one for the screen to maximize brightness - but all in a very cool and futuristic way. Even the app icon is an awesome design.
Verbs IM ★★★★☆ ($.99 / App Store) for the iPhone and iPad is a minimal instant messaging client for GTalk, Facebook, AIM and MobileMe. Verbs is easily the prettiest multi-messaging app available for iOS but its not all just looks. Although one of the big features of Verbs is it’s simple and elegant style, its just as useful as the others available that are more expensive or free. Upgrade to Pro will allow push notifications and lets you log in for 7 days straight.
